Second Chance Center
Second Chance Center could be the right drug and alcohol rehab center for you
There is a shortage of rehabilitation beds in New Mexico and this can make it difficult for individuals with a substance abuse problem to get the help they need.
The Second Chance Center is a private, medium security rehabilitation facility located on the outskirts of Albuquerque, NM. The Center was founded by a 25-year drug rehab veteran and is staffed by trained professionals who have many years experience providing successful substance abuse rehabilitation.
The Second Chance Center offers those charged with an offense a unique opportunity – to serve their sentence and receive effective rehabilitation. Individuals facing jail or prison time can request alternative sentencing – sentencing to the Second Chance Center rather than to a traditional jail or prison. Time served at Second Chance can count toward mandatory minimums for jail time.
Individuals who find themselves incarcerated in a traditional jail or prison report that daily fights are necessary to maintain their position in jail. They also mention their ongoing fear of physical and sexual abuse. As a result, everyone is always on edge, including guards, staff and inmates.
Second Chance Center provides an environment that is respectful and supportive, and residents report that any concerns they had about their personal safety and security were quickly dispelled after spending time at the Center.
Many people with substance abuse issues have tried one or more rehab programs in order to handle their addiction to alcohol or drugs.
The Second Chance rehabilitation program handles both alcohol and substance abuse, including meth, a difficult addiction. The program uses a successful and proven methodology and offers a comprehensive approach to addiction; handling the physical detox, then providing education, and then coordinating a successful reintegration back into the family and society.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Second Chance Center is to provide secure, long-term rehabilitation for substance abusers and then transition them back into society so they lead a stable life free of crime and drugs.
Sentenced Rehab or Voluntary Rehab
There are two ways to become part of the Second Chance program – sentencing to Second Chance Center, or voluntary admission.
Individuals facing jail or prison time can request alternative sentencing – sentencing to Second Chance Center rather than to a traditional jail or prison. Time served at Second Chance can count toward mandatory minimums for jail time.
An individual who has tried other alcohol or drug rehab programs and not achieved the result he wants can voluntarily admit himself to the “extreme rehab” program at Second Chance.
Second Chance Center offers a “pay to stay” service
Second Chance accepts private paying residents, the individual being responsible for the cost of accommodation and the rehabilitation program.
